What's wrong with the sewing machine not being able to deliver fabric? Introduction to problem-solving

Sewing machine fabric feeding mechanism malfunction

When the sewing machine does not feed fabric, the first step is to check if the fabric feeding mechanism of the sewing machine is faulty. The inspection method is as follows:

1. Check if the feeding control lever of the sewing machine is in the appropriate position. If the control lever deviates from the correct position, the position of the control lever needs to be adjusted.

2. Check whether the feeding gear and feeding spring of the sewing machine are worn or deformed. If they are, replace the worn or deformed components.

3. Check if the connection between the feeding gear and the feeding spring of the sewing machine is sturdy. If it is not, it is necessary to tighten the connection.

Dust or fibers have accumulated between the needle plate and the transparent plate

The inability of the sewing machine to feed fabric may also be due to the accumulation of dust or fibers between the needle plate and the transparent plate. The fibers and dust between the needle plate and the transparent plate hinder the smooth movement of the fabric, leading to the malfunction of the feeding mechanism. At this point, simply use a brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the dust and fibers between the needle board and the transparent board to restore the normal operation of the sewing machine.

Bottom line tension too high or too loose

Excessive or loose tension on the bottom thread can also affect the feeding mechanism of the sewing machine. If the tension of the bottom thread is too high, the stitching will be very tight and the fabric cannot move forward normally; If the tension of the bottom thread is too loose, the fabric is prone to sliding and can also cause the feeding mechanism to not work. At this point, simply adjust the tension of the bottom line to solve the problem.

Line fault

When the sewing machine does not feed fabric, it is also necessary to check if the circuit is faulty. The wiring terminals or speed control switches of the sewing machine may be damaged or loose, and in such cases, relevant parts need to be repaired or replaced.
